Marianne was working at a popular entertainment establishment on Harlech frequented by Colonel Ferrer, when she was able to bend his ear and convince him to take her on as a mechwarrior. Apparently, Marianne had some experience with a mercenary unit that had disintegrated during a failed mission. She had been working on Harlech since but was looking to get hired on to a new mercenary group, but had difficulty because few employers were willing to look beyond her as a “pretty face.”
