Joyce Lamberti is of Lyran origin and served in the Denebola Skye March Militia. As part of that unit, she fought against the Company on Caph in 3058. However, she had become increasingly disillusioned with the Denebola SMM command for their decision to attempt to carve out a Lyran outpost in the Chaos March rather than to liberate their homeworld of Denebola, which had been occupied by the Free World League in their absence. After brutal fighting devastated her company, she quietly defected and showed up on the Company’s doorstep. She was put to work as an astech until their contract on Caph was complete, and reinstated as a mechwarrior before their contract on Bryant.

Although Lamberti herself is not native to Denebola and was more frustrated by the Denebola SMM’s lack of a sense of duty and honor than an attachment to the planet. This has allowed her to integrate fairly seamlessly with a unit composed of many individuals from the Free Worlds League, although their have been a few ocassions when nationalist sentiment has led to harsh words, and at least once, come to blows.

Lamberti was a Lieutentant in the Denebola SMM and effectively accepted a demotion to join the Company. However, at the end of the Acamar contract, she was promoted once again to Lieutenant after the death of Jim Nava.
