Roman was a member of the Comguards and was part of the group being trained by the Company during their contract with Comstar on Terra in 3055-56. Roman is also a devout Blakist and was deeply troubled by the changes instituted into Comstar after Tukkayid. However, hecouldn’t reconcile himself to join the Word of Blake because he did not want to weaken the organization he loved. Ultimately, he decided that the only correct path was to resign from the Comguards and join the Company, at least until he could get some distance to organize and process his feelings toward Comstar.
