Bill Wilson joined the Company after the Jameson Gang contract in the Taurian Concordat. He said little about his past or his mechwarrior training, but the scuttlebutt is that he was a member of a pirate gang in the periphery before joining the Company.

No one ever found out the truth, however, before Wilson was killed in action during the battle for Aswan on Caph. After losing consciousness when he crashed his mech, he was surrounded by several tanks and a Banshee assault mech who blasted he and his Vindicator mech out of existence.
